Targeted Nerve Stimulation advances the capability of suppressing pain from being transmitted to the brain.
Pain nerve impulses can be electrically stopped from being transmitted into the spinal cord. Targeted Nerve Stimulation stops the pain from a local part of the body without the patient feeling any tingling sensations induced by the stimulation.

Like Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS), Targeted Nerve Stimulation (TNS) is minimally invasive and performed on an out-patient basis.
After a successful five to seven day trial of stimulation, to demonstrate significant pain relief can be achieved, an implanted system can provide long-term pain relief.
The trial and the implantation of the system are all performed without staying in the hospital, and general anesthesia is unnecessary.
