Dr. Stephen Boyajian and Dr. Kenneth Rogers began their careers in independent practices. In 2000, due to the mutual respect they had for one another, their desire to collaborate in clinical research in advanced pain therapies, and their common desire to advance the specialty based on science, they merged their practices and began Advanced Pain Consultants, P.A.  They have a combined experience over sixty years.

Dr. Stephen Boyajian has been practicing Interventional Pain Management in southern New Jersey since 1989. He is Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He completed his sub-specialty Fellowship training in 1989 from the University of Massachusetts. He received his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, and his residency training in Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Dr. Kenneth Rogers has been practicing Interventional Pain Management in southern New Jersey since 1990. He is also Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He completed his  Anesthesiology residency and sub-specialty Fellowship training  from Thomas Jefferson University in 1990. Dr. Rogers also underwent training in General Surgery and Neurologic Surgery in New York and Philadelphia prior to his residency in Anesthesiology.  He received his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Both Dr. Boyajian and Dr. Rogers have been involved in the initial development of the specialty in the early 1990’s and continue to be involved in newly developed technologies and treatments. They have both instructed for the Spine Intervention Society, and served on their Standards Committee. Dr. Rogers was one of ten contributors and authors of the first practice guidelines text available to our specialty, published in 2004 by the  International Spine Intervention Society.
