Advanced Pain Consultants physicians are always involved with, and are interested in participating in clinical research. Patient Outcome studies are our usual type of research. We find that our patients enthusiastically want to be involved with our efforts to advance the science of the treatment of chronic pain.
One study that we are participating in involve evaluating the effectiveness of an implanted device that helps to improve the walking and standing ability of patients suffering from lumbar spinal stenosis.
Another study that we are participating in involves observing for the long-term development of protein buildup around the tips of implanted spinal fluid (intrathecal) drug delivery catheters that are attached to implanted drug delivery pumps.
