Advanced Pain Consultants physicians are always involved with, and are interested in participating in clinical research. Patient Outcome studies are our usual type of research. We find that our patients enthusiastically want to be involved with our efforts to advance the science of the treatment of chronic pain.

One study that we participated in involved evaluating the effectiveness of an implanted device that helps to improve the walking and standing ability of patients suffering from lumbar spinal stenosis.

Another study that we participated in involved observing for the long-term development of protein buildup around the tips of implanted spinal fluid (intrathecal) drug delivery catheters that are attached to implanted drug delivery pumps.

From time-to-time, new clinical research projects become available. We only become involved when we think there is a high likelihood of benefit for our patients.
